A First-Class School District
The Lancaster Independent School District provides quality schools for children from kindergarten to high school. With the district’s expansion, more schools are being added to benefit the youth of Lancaster. In addition to the public school system, three private institutions, the Berne Academy, Cedar Valley Christian Center and the Victory Christian Academy, provide alternatives for learning. For higher education there are many opportunities in or near Lancaster, including Cedar Valley College, University of North Texas Dallas Center and Northwood University. Downtown Dallas provides a one-stop campus consolidation, with programs from seven area universities. Southern Methodist University, University of Dallas, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Dallas and many more are located within the D/FW Metroplex.
